Happy Spring! How’ve you been?
Here in what is yet again the hottest housing market in the Country, we’ve been almost too busy as the only affordable homeownership provider in Kingston to post for a while, but we do have some quick updates!
As noted in our year-end summary, we are making at least a temporary pivot from rehabs into new construction this year. Hopefully the photo above indicates how that is going so far 🙂
We’ve recently been awarded $708K by the State of New York’s affordable homeownership HOME H-Dev program to move this initiative forward. This marks the KCLB’s first direct award of Federal funding…wish us luck!
Accordingly, we are announcing the release of our architecture/engineering RFP for this amazing program, one which we expect to continue in subsequent affordable homeownership developments for years to come. If you’d like to see our work continue to grow, please help us spread the word on this opportunity!

Not to be outdone, the State’s amazingly impactful Land Bank Initiative has awarded us an additional $2MM in funding! These funds will continue to be a critical component of covering the costs of our work on this and several other exciting new affordable housing developments.
